Plot Review:
Strickland is a well-off, working class stockbroker in London, at some point in the late nineteenth or mid twentieth 100 years. Right off the bat in the novel, he leaves his significant other and kids and goes to Paris. The storyteller enters straightforwardly into the story by then, when he is asked by Mrs Strickland to go to Paris and talk with her better half.
He carries on with a desperate yet rebelliously happy life there as a painter, dwelling in shabby lodgings and succumbing to both disease and craving. Strickland, in his drive to communicate through his craft what appears to ceaselessly have and urge him within, doesn’t really focus anything on actual uneasiness and is apathetic regarding his environmental elements.
