About The Author (Osamu Dazai):

Osamu Dazai was a Japanese creator who lived from 1909 to 1948. Because of his dark and contemplative themes, he is regarded as one of the most important modern Japanese authors. Throughout his life, Dazai battled depression and substance abuse, and many of his works deal with the same themes of alienation and despair. He passed on by self-destruction in 1948.
