Jason Reynolds is an American author of poetry and novels for young adults and middle-grade readers. He was born on December 6, 1983. Reynolds was born in Washington, D.C., but grew up in Oxon Hill, Maryland, a neighbor. He got his inspiration from rap and started writing poetry at a young age. He published several poetry collections before writing his first novel in 2014.
